Last week my wife and I noticed our cats nail had grown into her paw pad. We felt like horrible pet owners! Every moment spent with Westonka Animal Hospital was pleasant. Liz got us on the schedule and in right away. Kari ensured us that we are not horrible pet owners (we are busy parents of a busy toddler) she eased our frustrations and concerns. Ray and Dr.Andy were amazing! Even if my cat tried to bite them. Now a week later my cat is back to herself and lunging in the sun running away from said toddler. We love Westonka Animal Hospital!
Absolutely the worst experience I have ever had! I scheduled an appointment for my dog who is very very bad for nail clipping. I explained to them Over the phone I am a professional groomer and I have tried other places and she cannot have nails clipped at a salon she will likely need mild sedation. They seemed confident enough to schedule the appointment to try. I was shocked...when My dog and I were waiting that 2 smaller build nervous looking high school kids walked in the room..knowing they were not going to be able to do much. Much to my surprise the young boy who was helping the technician started the process by putting my dog in a head lock(!!!) to try and restrain her before they had even started clipping the nails and before my dog had made any sign of nervousness at all! That obviously set the tone for the whole appointment as my dog was extremely upset and on edge after being passed around with all sorts of food shoved around her face and two young kids who didn’t seem to have ANY experience with handling dogs. Not to mention this whole process was done on the floor!! Obviously the job didn’t get done..Ridiculous.. The part that shocked me the most is when it was time to pay. I was told over the phone the nail trim starts at $13 and goes up by difficulty.. I didn’t imagine it would make it up to $25.. then she told me my grand total was $57!!!!!! Apparently there is a technician charge that was never mentioned to me at all during the process of setting up the appointment..
I ended up paying an arm and a leg for some kids and a unpleasant technician to NOT COMPLETE my dogs nails and have an overall horrible appointment..
I absolutely love this clinic! Dr Andy Collins and vet tech Missy Lewis are simply amazing. They took such excellent care of my cat. I am so lucky to have this clinic close by. LOVE this place!!!
They are high priced. My pet is sick and they don't have an explanation. They should be knowledgeable to identify why my pet is sick. They sell you food your pet won't eat. That they claim liked it. They high pressure up sell for no reason. They should offer discounts on poor people like me so that I to can get my pet treated in time of need. Never met doctor who saw my pet. He was to busy to stay and meet a new client. But he collected the money. That's wrong. They treat you like your nobody.
I was visiting from out of town. All employees were extremely helpful. They struggled to get my dogs records from a vet out of state. They were super supportive during some bad news about my dog. Ii felt like everyone generally cared. I want to take them all back to Florida with me.
