God bless the food shelf
My wife and I and 3 children shopped at this food shelf today. We just read a previous review from a Mocha Lee (or?) stating that they were difficult to deal with and prejudiced. I don't know what their problem is, but those folks couldn't have been more helpful and kind as we did our monthly shopping. We have had some financial difficulties in the last 2 years and these people at the Mound food shelf have been terrific and a life saver and we ALWAYS feel welcome. Good food too! We thank you all there! God bless you!!
Being able to volunteer in such an amazing community is absolutely wonderful!! Seeing how caring and compassionate the Westonka Food Shelf is to all of their clients is astonishing. They truly care about everyone that walks through their door.
My family has benefited greatly from the kindness and caring of these incredibly kind and compassionate people. My ethnicity has never been an issue, nor would I ever dream it would be. These people are the vessels God has chosen to spread his love. I have personally witnessed individuals who are hurting and helpless receive just for asking. Praise the Lord this facility exists for the downtrodden.
I've had custody of my grandsons for the past 2 years, if it was not for the food shelf and there generosity I don't know how I would have supported the boys!!!
I have struggled for years with Cancer and it's lasting effects, many surgeries, as well as job loss, and homelessness. My journey has been long. Along the way you meet people who help carry the load. Westonka Food Shelf has been one of those who you'll never forget. The volunteers, administration, and facilities are top notch. Although I feel like I am a burden, they have never treated me that way. I have always been treated with kindness, compassion and respect. Praise God for these servants.
